Klimato Joins UK Food and Drink Pact to Drive a More Sustainable Food System
Stockholm, Tuesday 11 November 2025 | Klimato, a sustainability solution for the global food industry, has joined the UK Food and Drink Pact, a major sustainability initiative led by WRAP, the global environmental action NGO. The Pact unites businesses, NGOs, and government bodies to transform the food system and cut its climate impact.
The UK Food and Drink Pact unites hundreds of organizations across the supply chain to reduce emissions, cut food waste, and protect water resources. Members are committed to achieving three key goals by 2030:
• Cut UK food and drink–related greenhouse gas emissions by 50% from 2015 levels.
• Halve food waste across manufacturing, retail, hospitality, and homes.
• Source half of all fresh food from areas with sustainable water management.
“Our mission is to help the food industry make measurable climate progress,” says Anton Unger, CEO and founder at Klimato. “Joining the UK Food and Drink Pact ensures our tools and data align with the sector’s most credible, science-based targets. When we act on shared metrics, we drive real change.”
Klimato helps food businesses measure, reduce, and report their climate impact through digital tools and data-driven insights. Joining the Pact strengthens Klimato’s role in driving industry collaboration and aligning with emerging environmental standards.
