Klimato and Apicbase Integrate to Put Food Emissions Data Where F&B Teams Actually Work

Apicbase customers can now access ingredient-level carbon data directly inside their existing F&B management platform—without exports, workarounds, or a separate login.

Stockholm, Thursday 13 August 2026
| Klimato, the world-leading food climate data solutions provider, has integrated with Apicbase, the back-of-house F&B management platform used by restaurant groups, hotel operators, and large-scale catering operations worldwide. The integration connects Apicbase's recipe and inventory data with Klimato's food emissions engine—giving operations teams an up-to-date picture of the carbon footprint of their menus, automatically, as part of the workflow they're already in.

For most food businesses, emissions data has been something you compile after the fact. Menus change, procurement runs, and at some point someone tries to reconstruct what it all meant for the carbon footprint. That gap between operational decisions and sustainability data is where progress gets lost.

Carbon Data in the Operational Flow

Apicbase is used by multi-unit F&B operations to manage recipes, menus, stock, procurement, and reporting from a single platform. Once the Klimato integration is enabled, ingredient and recipe data is retrieved automatically on an hourly basis and mapped to Klimato's emissions database. No manual exports; the carbon footprint of a dish updates as the recipe does.

Full integration logs give teams visibility into exactly what's been mapped and what hasn't—with drill-down detail at the ingredient level and built-in health monitoring to keep the data pipeline running reliably across locations.

"Enterprise F&B operations don't run from a sustainability dashboard—they run from their recipe management and procurement systems. Integrating with Apicbase means emissions data is present at the moment decisions are made, not reconstructed afterward. That's when it can actually change something." — Anton Unger, founder and CEO at Klimato

Where Scale Meets Accountability

Apicbase serves multi-unit restaurant groups, hotel F&B operations, central production units, and large-scale catering companies managing recipes, menus, inventory, and procurement across multiple sites from a single platform.

Together, the integration addresses a gap that's becoming more visible as sustainability reporting requirements tighten. Operations that manage hundreds or thousands of SKUs across multiple sites need emissions data that scales with the business—not a separate tool that requires its own data management.

The integration is immediately available to all Apicbase customers with a Klimato account. For operations already using both platforms, setup requires no change to existing workflows.

"Our customers are being asked for carbon numbers in tenders and in their annual reporting, and until now that meant a separate exercise with exports and spreadsheets. With this integration, Apicbase customers can now rely on Klimato's data to enrich your recipes, purchase data and ESG dashboards without chasing spreadsheets or manual interventions. This partnership brings your CO2 footprint directly to the actionable level." — Carl Jacobs, co-founder & CEO at Apicbase
